Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 15, 2026

About this policy

CrashGuard is a mobile and web application operated by Nelson & Crouse, P.C. ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information CrashGuard collects when you document a vehicle accident, how it is used, and the choices you have. The app is designed so that a crash report you create belongs to you and is shared only with the law firm you choose to send it to.

Information you provide

When you create a crash report, the app may collect:

  • Crash details: date and time, location (including GPS coordinates where you allow location access), road, weather, and lighting conditions.
  • People involved: names, phone numbers, license and insurance details for drivers and witnesses that you enter.
  • Evidence you choose to attach: photos, videos, and documents.
  • Notes and checklist responses you enter in the app.

You control what you enter. You can use CrashGuard without granting location or camera permissions; those features only activate when you use them.

How your information is used

  • To create and store the crash report on your device and in our secure cloud storage.
  • To deliver the report to the law firm you select when you tap "Send to My Attorney".
  • To allow that firm to evaluate and follow up on a potential claim.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your report

Each report is protected by a private access link. Anyone with the link or with access to the device where you created the report can view it. On our side, the report is visible only to the firm you send it to and to the limited personnel who operate and support the service. Cloud hosting providers process the data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention and deletion

Your report stays on your device until you delete it. Reports sent to a firm are retained as needed for the representation or as required by law. You can request deletion of a report by contacting us at the email below; we will honor reasonable requests consistent with legal and ethical obligations.

Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

CrashGuard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app.
